
Multiple vehicle accident on Highway 101 in San Francisco may be linked to escaping individual
A 10-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in San Francisco is believed to have been triggered by a suspect who was fleeing in a stolen vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol. The incident unfolded when a 38-year-old woman allegedly assaulted an employee at a business on the 200 block of Bayshore Boulevard before commandeering a pickup truck. The woman then entered Highway 101 northbound and was part of the 10-car accident near the Vermont off-ramp. As a result of the crash, at least five individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a medical facility. The suspect attempted to flee the scene, but she was apprehended by a CHP officer. Authorities disclosed that the suspect, identified as a 38-year-old resident of El Sobrante, is under investigation for potential driving under the influence.
