
Multiple people hurt in downtown Los Angeles crash involving multiple vehicles
A multi-vehicle collision involving two Metro buses in downtown Los Angeles resulted in three individuals being injured on Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred near 111 S Grand Avenue around 4:17 p.m. Video footage from the area showed one of the buses veering onto a sidewalk and colliding with a restaurant patio outside Walt Disney Concert Hall. The second bus and a Mercedes SUV were left in the center of Grand Avenue, with the SUV sustaining significant damage to its front end. The three injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Firefighters were able to promptly address a gas leak resulting from the collision. Fortunately, no other individuals, including pedestrians, were harmed during the incident. The cause of the crash is still unknown and is currently being investigated by the LAPD. Metro officials expressed their well wishes for the speedy recovery of those injured and thanked the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments for their assistance.
