Multiple car accidents in South Strabane Township addressed by crews
There were two vehicle accidents early Sunday morning in South Strabane Township. The first incident, reported by the South Strabane Fire Department, involved a vehicle crashing into a house with downed wires and a potential fire on Locust Avenue around 3 a.m. The crew found a vehicle had hit a pole, another unoccupied vehicle, and a home's porch. The accident caused a small fire due to power lines. While dealing with this, a second crash occurred on North Main Street around 4:30 a.m., where a vehicle struck a home. As a result, there may be power outages in some areas, and Locust Avenue and Oak Spring Road will have restrictions. Fortunately, both accidents did not cause significant damage or major injuries. The City of Washington Fire Department also assisted during the incidents.
