Multi-vehicle crash shuts down inbound Parkway East near Squirrel Hill Tunnel

6:45 a.m. Update:State police said a man was killed in Monday morning's crash on the Parkway East.According to a news release, a Silver Corvette struck a Honda Civic that was stopped just before the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.That caused a chain reaction that damaged two other vehicles.Landon Ray, the driver of the Honda Civic, was taken to the hospital, where he died.State police say all other people involved were treated by paramedics on the scene. 5:45 a.m. UPDATE:Shortly before 5:45 a.m. PennDOT announced that the inbound Parkway East has reopened, a little more than three hours after the crash happened. EARLIER REPORT:A multi-vehicle crash shut down the inbound side of the Parkway East near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.The crash happened a little before 2:30 a.m. on Monday.Allegheny County 911 dispatchers said one person was taken to the hospital.Inbound traffic was being detoured at the Edgewood/Swissvale Interchange while emergency crews were on the scene.
