Multi-vehicle crash in Scott claims life of one, injures others
SCOTT, La. (KLFY) -- Early yesterday morning, a multi-vehicle fatality crash occurred on Interstate 10 about one mile west of Louisiana Highway 93, officials said. During the investigation, it was revealed that a Dodge Charger was traveling west on I-10 when it allegedly exited the roadway to the left, crossed the median, struck a guardrail, and came to a stop in the eastbound lanes of I-10. Shortly after, an eastbound Acura Integra and Ford F-250 then struck the Dodge. Additionally, an eastbound Ram 1500 and Honda HRV struck debris that was in the roadway, officials said. Officials reported the driver of the Dodge died at the scene, while the drivers of the Acura and Ford sustained moderate injuries and the drivers of the Ram and Honda were not injured. Toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis, officials said. This crash remains under investigation.
