Multi-vehicle crash causing partial shut down of 581 Westbound
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A multi-vehicle crash has caused part of Route 581 to shut down Tuesday afternoon. 511pa shows a crash that happened around 3 p.m. on 581 Westbound between Exit 5B South Gettysburg and Exit 4: PA 641 in Mechanicsburg, causing all lanes to be closed as crews work at the scene. A PennDOT spokesperson said more than one ambulance was called to the scene, but they did not have any specific details on injuries. A backlog that is to the 283 interchange is giving first responders issues in getting to the scene, the spokesperson said.
