Mukwonago mom and nonprofit promote stranger's trauma kit that saved her daughter
A Mukwonago family's leisurely hike turned frantic when 7-year-old Charly Grall-Kahn had a severe hand injury at Paradise Springs. While playing near the pond, a rock she threw fell back and landed on her hand, causing intense pain. Her mother Tina quickly tended to the bleeding as they headed back to their car. Two strangers, an Army veteran and his wife, approached with a well-equipped medical kit and skillfully stabilized Charly's hand. Tina later sought to thank the helpful couple through a community Facebook group. In a surprising turn, they were connected not only with the Illinois couple but also with Vicki Sanfelipo, head of Accident Scene Management, a motorcycle trauma training nonprofit. Sanfelipo generously gifted the family a trauma kit and emphasized the importance of being prepared for unforeseen emergencies. This heartwarming incident underscores the critical need for both training and supplies in emergency situations.
