Mt. Diablo High student dies in Walnut Creek crash
A tragic car accident in Walnut Creek claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl named Alina Safi. The crash occurred on Saturday on Ygnacio Valley Road, where Safi was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other individuals involved in the collision were hospitalized, and a kind passerby took care of a dog from one of the vehicles. Safi, a student at Mt. Diablo High School, was remembered fondly by the school's principal for her vibrant spirit. A GoFundMe page has been set up to honor Safi, describing her as a kind-hearted individual with a bright smile and a dream of making her family proud. This fundraiser had raised over $4,700 by Wednesday.
