MSHP investigate fatal crash on I-44 in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) is currently on the scene of a fatal crash in Springfield. Sergeant Mike McClure with MSHP tells Ozarks First that the incident involved one vehicle on westbound I-44 near mile marker 85.4. This is near the Buc-ee's exit. The highway is said to have one lane currently open as deputies are on scene. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. Officials have not released the identity of the victim at this time. This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
