MPD reports bystander rescuing woman from robbery and accident
In Frayser on Friday, a woman narrowly escaped a robbery attempt after a car accident, as reported by Memphis police. While driving on Range Line Road near Bethlehem Avenue, her car was struck on the passenger side by a red Chevrolet Malibu. After both vehicles pulled over, one of the suspects from the Malibu brandished a gun at his side and demanded the victim's belongings. Fortunately, the situation was defused when an unknown passerby intervened, causing the suspects to flee the scene in their car. Despite the scare, the woman was unharmed and nothing was taken.
