MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (April 28, 2025) -- A two-vehicle car accident in Mountain View happened Monday morning on US 101 or Bayshore Freeway, just south of Ellis Street. Prius Hits Tesla on 101 Freeway in Mountain View The collision occurred in the northbound lanes on Bayshore Freeway around 10 a.m. on April 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The traffic accident involved the drivers of a black Toyota Prius and a white Tesla, the report said. The vehicles were blocking the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes of the freeway. Woman in Prius Injured in Accident CHP officials reported a woman in the Prius was hurt and crying in the background, but there was a language barrier making it difficult for dispatchers to get information about the incident. Paramedics from Mountain View Fire Department responded to help the injured woman, who had minor injuries. Meanwhile, tow trucks from National Towing and EDS Towing removed the two vehicles from the crash scene. The Tesla had minor rear-end damage and the Prius had moderate front-end damage after the Mountain View accident on the 101 Freeway. Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault, but initial findings indicate the Tesla was rear-ended by the Prius and could be held liable for the collision. Legal Questions?
