Mount Sterling man indicted for July crash leading to death
A man from Mount Sterling has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree manslaughter following a fatal two-vehicle collision in Montgomery County back in July. The 35-year-old, Matthew Blackburn, was arrested after a grand jury in Montgomery County returned an indictment based on evidence presented on Sept. 26. The charges are related to a deadly incident that took place on Indian Mound near Old Owingsville Road on July 3, resulting in the loss of a man's life. Blackburn was apprehended at his residence and transferred to the Powell County Detention Center. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has not provided further information regarding the crash.
