Motorcyclist killed in Downtown head-on crash identified

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A motorcyclist who was killed in an early-morning head-on crash on the south side of Downtown Colorado Springs in early June has been identified. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. on June 6 in the 0 block of West Las Vegas Street, east of the Motor City curve. When officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrived, they learned a motorcycle had been heading west on Las Vegas when it drove into oncoming traffic, hitting an eastbound car head-on. According to CSPD, speed is considered a factor in the crash. On June 8, the El Paso County Coroner's Office identified the motorcyclist as 24-year-old Alexander Liscio. This crash marked the 26th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2026. At the same time in 2025, there had been 16 fatalities.
