Motorcyclist killed in crash in Southwest Bakersfield: Police
A fatal crash involving a vehicle and a motorcyclist occurred on Thursday morning in southwest Bakersfield, as reported by the Bakersfield Police Department. The incident took place at the intersection of White Lane and Old River Road around 6:45 a.m. Emergency responders attempted to save the adult male motorcyclist, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved is cooperating with authorities, and there is no indication of drug or alcohol involvement in the accident. The intersection and surrounding roads are closed as the investigation continues. The identity of the motorcyclist will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office in the future.
