Motorcyclist in deadly south Austin crash identified by APD
In a recent update from the Austin Police Department, a man named Mario Esai Navarro, aged 34, was tragically identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle-vehicle collision that occurred in south Austin over the weekend. The incident, which took place on South First Street, prompted an emergency response from APD officers just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 19. Navarro, the motorcyclist involved, was transported to a nearby hospital following the crash, but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved stayed at the scene and assisted authorities with their investigation. This devastating incident has now been recorded as the 77th fatal crash in Austin for the year 2025.
