Motorcyclist from Watervliet sustains serious injuries in accident
A man from Watervliet was seriously injured in a collision between his motorcycle and a vehicle early on Friday. According to Watervliet Police, the accident occurred at the intersection of 19th Street and 12th Avenue around 5:15 a.m. The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man, was heading west on 19th Street when he collided with a vehicle that had just turned left onto 19th Street from 12th Avenue. Police reported that the man was thrown from his motorcycle and trapped under the vehicle. He was rushed to Albany Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle is said to be cooperating with the investigation, although charges may be filed later. The investigation is ongoing, and the identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
