
Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Muskegon Crash, Driver in Custody
A man, 49, tragically lost his life in a car accident in Muskegon on Wednesday night. Authorities suspect that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. The Muskegon Police Department was called to the scene at the intersection of Apple Avenue and Spring Street at approximately 9 p.m. Reports indicate that a motorcycle heading westbound on Apple Avenue collided with a passenger car making a turn onto Apple from Spring Street. The motorcyclist, whose name has not been disclosed, was found unconscious and, despite efforts by emergency responders, was unable to be revived. The 22-year-old female driver of the car was unhurt but was taken into custody at the scene. Police suspect that alcohol was a factor on her part.
