Motorcyclist dies in Madison crash
MADISON, Conn. (WTNH) – A motorcycle operator died in a crash Tuesday evening in Madison, police said. The crash happened at the intersection of Durham Road (Route 79) and Overbrook Road just before 7:50 p.m., police said. The crash involved a sport utility vehicle (SUV). The motorcycle operator was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. The identity of the operator has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The road was shut down for several hours while the Madison Police Department and the South-Central Connecticut Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the cause of the accident. The road has since reopened. Anyone with information is asked to call the Madison Police Department.
