Motorcyclist dies in Detroit accident; impairment suspected
Michigan State Police are looking into a tragic incident that occurred early on Sunday resulting in the death of a motorcyclist. The crash took place on the eastbound Davison Freeway near Woodrow Wilson Street around 1:40 a.m. The motorcyclist, identified as a 58-year-old Redford man, was reported to have attempted to cross the freeway to make an unauthorized turn when he was hit by an SUV driven by a 32-year-old Detroit woman. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist passed away at the scene. Investigators are considering the possibility of drug impairment contributing to the crash, and the investigation is ongoing, awaiting further reports and test results.
