Motorcyclist arrested for suspected DWI following crash evasion, patrol reports
A motorcyclist suspected of driving under the influence is in custody for allegedly leaving the scene of a crash that resulted in serious injuries to his passenger. The 70-year-old man from Inver Grove Heights was apprehended by the Minnesota State Patrol and is currently being held in Washington County Jail on suspicion of DWI. The collision between his motorcycle and an SUV occurred on Highway 61 in St. Paul Park just before 7 p.m., leaving a 60-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries after being ejected from the motorcycle. The woman was not wearing a helmet. The motorcyclist was unharmed in the crash and has not yet been formally charged. Fortunately, no one in the SUV was injured in the incident.
