Motorcycle rider injured in McCordsville collision
A motorcyclist was injured in a collision in McCordsville over the weekend. McCordsville Police Department responded to a crash near a Meijer store on Broadway Street and Carroll Road on Saturday evening. The incident involved a motorcycle and an SUV. Police quickly provided first aid to those involved, and although a medical helicopter was initially called, it was later unnecessary as medics could handle transportation by ground ambulance. The Hancock County Fatal Accident Reconstruction Team was also called to assist in the investigation. The motorcyclist is in serious but stable condition. The crash occurred at a traffic signal near the Meijer entrance, where the SUV was turning southbound and the motorcycle was traveling eastbound. Officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
