Motorcycle, Jeep crash in Anderson causes serious injuries

ANDERSON, Ind. — One individual is in the hospital after sustaining serious injuries from a motorcycle crash in Anderson, according to a press release from law enforcement. Officers from the Anderson Police Department were dispatched on Monday to a crash involving a Jeep Patriot and a motorcycle near the intersection of 37th and Brown Street. The preliminary investigation determined that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on 37th Street when he reportedly collided with the driver's side of the Jeep, which was going northbound on Brown Street. The 22-year-old driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The 33-year-old driver of the Jeep also sustained injuries from the crash. Due to the severity of the crash, investigators were called to the scene. The case remains active.
