Motorcycle crash leaves Bloomington man with critical injuries
A Bloomington resident is currently hospitalized with serious injuries after a motorcycle accident near Veterans Parkway and Clearwater Avenue, according to local authorities. The man, who is in his 40s, lost control of his motorcycle before 9 p.m. and was found unresponsive on the road. Good Samaritans provided aid until paramedics arrived and transported him to OSF HealthCare Saint Joseph Medical Center. The McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team was brought in due to the accident's severity. Following the incident, southbound traffic on Veterans Parkway from Vernon Avenue to Clearwater Avenue was closed for investigation until about 1 a.m. This marks the second motorcycle accident in the area, with the first occurring days prior and the driver being treated for life-threatening injuries at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center.
