Motorcycle Crash in Washington County Leaves One Injured, One Dead
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at around 8:13 pm, emergency services responded to a personal injury accident on North State Road 39 near State Road 256. A black 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by David Anthony Michael Stitzel, 34, of Seymour, Indiana, went off the road and hit a guardrail. The passenger, Jessica Nicole Sue Pelley, 31, also from Seymour, Indiana, tragically passed away at the scene. Stitzel sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital. The accident is currently under investigation by the Indiana State Police. Deputy Joe Johnson, along with other law enforcement and emergency personnel, responded to the scene.
