Motorcycle and pickup truck collision in Fond du Lac County leads to fatal accident
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office confirmed the tragic passing of an 18-year-old motorcyclist from Campbellsport after a collision with a pickup truck in the Town of Auburn on Tuesday, June 24. The incident occurred at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive. Responding authorities, including deputies from the Sheriff's Office and personnel from the Campbellsport Fire Department and Ambulance, found that the motorcycle, headed south on County Highway V, collided with a pickup truck traveling east on Auburn-Ashford Drive. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite efforts to save him. The driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year-old from Campbellsport, sustained minor injuries, was treated at the scene, and is cooperating with the investigation. Speed is believed to have played a role in the crash, and the case continues to be investigated by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office.
