Motorcycle accident shuts down portion of Highway 41
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle on Highway 41, authorities confirm. Dispatch tells us this happened around 6:13 p.m. just north of St. George Road, in front of the Hampton Inn. We're told a motorcycle collided with another car. Evansville police confirm one person has died following the collision. Authorities say the northbound lane of Highway 41, near St. George Road, has been shut down at this time. We're told the roadway should reopen after the coroner arrives. Eyewitness News has a crew on scene and we will update with more information as it becomes available.
