Mother unconscious, son hurt in Spencerport collision
A serious accident occurred in Spencerport, Rochester, where a woman is in critical condition after an SUV turned into the path of an oncoming car at the intersection of Spencerport Road and Sias Lane. Lieutenant Ron Brett of the Ogden Police Department reported that the crash took place at this intersection. Initial findings indicate that a brown SUV turned left in front of a blue car. The SUV driver, a Spencerport resident, and the occupants of the blue car, a mother and her son visiting from out of state, were all transported to Strong Hospital for treatment. Both Spencerport Fire Department and Gates Ambulance promptly responded to the scene due to their close proximity. The intersection was briefly closed for investigation, but eastbound traffic has resumed. Authorities are reviewing security camera footage to determine the cause of the accident, with more information set to be released on Tuesday morning.
