
Mother and son arrested at Miami airport after deadly New Jersey street race and fleeing capture
A man from Staten Island and his mother are facing a variety of charges, including aggravated manslaughter and hindering apprehension, after he allegedly caused a fatal crash in Plainsboro, New Jersey during a high-speed BMW street race. Alvi Limani, 20, is charged with multiple offenses, such as aggravated manslaughter, reckless assault by auto, leaving the scene of a fatal crash, and more. His mother, Vilma Vneshta, 42, faces a charge of hindering in the third degree. Both are being held without bail at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center. The crash on Garden State Parkway resulted in the death of a young man from Staten Island and serious injuries to another person. Limani and his girlfriend, Emily Harrington, are accused of fleeing the scene after the crash. Another participant in the alleged street race, Jeter Ogando, is facing charges as well. Limani and Vneshta were later arrested in Miami as they attempted to leave the country. They are currently in custody at the Middlesex County Department of Corrections.
