Minco school bus crash: 18 passengers on board
The Minco community is dealing with the aftermath of a recent bus accident that left seven individuals injured out of the 18 people on board. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has shared additional details about the crash, which occurred on State Highway 152 near Cogar. The bus, carrying members of the Minco softball team, swerved to avoid a deer, causing it to overturn. Four students and one adult were ejected from the bus. Only the driver was seen wearing a seatbelt, and it's uncertain if the bus was equipped with seatbelts. While one team member remains in critical condition, there have been no fatalities reported. A prayer meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, and school will resume on Wednesday. Homecoming events have been rescheduled for early October. Lawmakers have expressed their concerns, emphasizing the importance of safety measures to prevent such accidents.
