Milwaukee woman faces reckless homicide charge following fatal crash after police pursuit.

A Milwaukee woman is facing serious charges, including reckless homicide, after a tragic incident during a police chase. Cera Wilkerson, 22, is accused of speeding away from police who attempted to stop her vehicle, ultimately leading to a fatal crash that took the life of an innocent rideshare driver. The chase began in the vicinity of West North Avenue and North Teutonia Avenue on Tuesday night. Despite police lights and sirens, Wilkerson reportedly continued driving recklessly, endangering pedestrians and running a red light before colliding with another vehicle at Humboldt and Brady intersection. The driver of the other vehicle, 28-year-old El Moctar Sidiya, a rideshare driver from Mauritania, tragically died at the scene, while a passenger sustained severe injuries. Wilkerson faces multiple charges, including fleeing from officers resulting in death and serious injury. If found guilty, she could potentially receive a sentence of over 64 years in prison. There is no set court date as of now.
