Milwaukee police probe shooting, deadly collision close to daycare.
A shooting incident resulted in a fatal crash on the northwest side of Milwaukee, causing a vehicle to crash into a daycare playground. The disturbance occurred after gunshots were fired in the area around 37th and Ruby, prompting a driver to speed away in a black SUV. The SUV ran a stop sign, colliding with a white SUV near 35th and Hopkins, propelling both vehicles towards the playground. Thankfully, no children were outside playing when the crash occurred. Tragically, a 61-year-old passenger in the white SUV lost their life in the collision. A 23-year-old woman from the other vehicle was arrested, and some of her passengers left the scene in another vehicle. Authorities are still searching for the individuals who fled from the black SUV. The incident highlighted the ongoing safety concerns in the neighborhood, with one anonymous neighbor expressing their unease due to the frequency of such events.
