Michigan's Riskiest Intersections: Crash Data Analysis
Most of the dangerous intersections in Michigan are clustered in the Metro Detroit area as per a recent compilation based on crash data from the previous year. Michigan Auto Law reviewed police reports from 2024 and identified the top 20 hazardous intersections, noting that collisions often occur in locations with high traffic volumes near highways or popular shopping centers. Among the intersections listed, five are roundabouts. Steve Gursten, President and attorney at Michigan Auto Law, emphasized that the purpose of this study is not to instill fear in drivers but to equip them with crucial information to enhance safety on the roads. By being aware of these risky spots and understanding the factors contributing to accidents, drivers can make wiser decisions while driving.
