The passing of Michael Sumler, also known as "Chicago Mike" of the band Kool & the Gang, in a tragic car accident over Memorial Day weekend has deeply saddened fans and the community. Sumler, 71, tragically lost his life in a collision on Veterans Memorial Highway near Buckner Road.
