Miami Hurricanes linebacker Adarius Hayes was in a car accident that tragically resulted in the deaths of two children in Largo. The children, 10-year-old Jabari Elijah Solomon and 4-year-old Charlie Herbert Solomon Riveria, lost their lives in a collision between a Dodge Durango and a Kia Soul. Law enforcement has not revealed the identities of the drivers or the injured individuals, and an investigation is ongoing. Hayes, a local from Largo, reportedly sustained injuries from the crash, but the extent is unknown. It has not been confirmed whether Hayes was driving either of the vehicles involved. Fellow Hurricanes players have shown their support for Hayes on social media. Hayes had a solid first season primarily as a special team player, appearing in 12 games and recording four tackles and an interception. He was highly regarded coming out of high school as a four-star prospect and ranked 73rd overall by 247Sports.
