Memorial baseball game honors West Babylon crash victims Bella Trezza and Riley Goot.

The community of West Babylon on Long Island came together on Sunday for an emotional memorial baseball game to honor the memory of two teenagers who tragically lost their lives in a car accident last September. Participants took a moment of silence to remember 17-year-old Bella Trezza and 18-year-old Riley Goot, who perished in the crash. The communities of West Babylon High School and St. Anthony's High School showed solidarity in remembering the young lives lost and in supporting the survivors. Survivor Anthony Pagliuca, a 17-year-old student at St. Anthony's, emphasized that the game was about cherishing the moment rather than about competition. Pagliuca, who suffered severe injuries in the accident, threw the ceremonial first pitch after being joined to the mound by his fellow survivors. Donations were also collected for the families of the victims. Anthony Pagliuca's remarkable recovery from his injuries was described by medical professionals as unexpected, and he expressed gratitude to those who supported him. Despite facing challenges such as short-term memory loss, Pagliuca remains determined to honor the memories of his lost friends by becoming the best version of himself. He shared that he plans to attend SUNY Oneonta in the fall to study sports management and continue playing baseball.
