Medical emergency leads to fatal Ohio County crash
OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) — One person is dead following a crash in Ohio County. Sheriff Adam Wright confirms emergency crews were on scene of the accident at the intersection of Greenbriar Road and Highway 231. Wright says authorities were called to the scene at about 8:50 a.m. An investigation revealed the collision happened after the driver, an elderly male, suffered from a medical emergency while driving down the road. Officials also state a passerby checked on the driver and started CPR before EMS arrived. The driver was taken to a local hospital where he passed away.
