Medical crisis led to deadly accident in Oakland County, according to deputies.
Sadly, a Rochester Hills resident passed away following a medical emergency while driving in Oakland County, Michigan. The man, identified as Pranit Birje, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on West Tieken Road. It was reported that Birje lost control of his 2020 Nissan Rogue and collided with a tree after crossing the center line. Witnesses mentioned that his vehicle had veered across the center line multiple times before the incident. An investigation revealed that Birje experienced a medical emergency while behind the wheel. Emergency responders from the Rochester Hills Fire Department transported him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit looked into the accident.
