Mechanic injured in freak plane accident at Lancaster Airport

A mechanic was ejected from a plane at Lancaster Airport after it turned over due to a mechanical issue, as reported by fire officials. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and Deputy Fire Chief Adrian Borry from Manheim Township Fire Rescue stated that the crash was not caused by wind but rather termed it a "freak accident." The mechanic, who was inside the cockpit during the crash, was thrown from the aircraft and later taken to the hospital for injuries whose severity was unknown. Borry described the aircraft as a type with three wheels and an open cockpit but could not confirm the exact make since it was not fully assembled. Fortunately, there were no other injuries or fires resulting from the incident.
