Massachusetts Turnpike in Palmer shut down due to car accident
A section of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Palmer was shut down temporarily on Thursday following a collision. According to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the Mass. Pike East at mile marker 63.6 is now open, but the left lanes on both I-90 east and west will stay closed. Repair work on guardrails caused the closure to last for a few hours, and all lanes were back in operation by 2 p.m. 2News has reached out to the Massachusetts State Police for additional details and will provide updates as they are received.
