Manhunt ensues after crash on 134 Freeway in Los Angeles; 3 suspects apprehended

A collision involving multiple vehicles on the 134 Freeway close to the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles led to a series of unusual occurrences, including a pursuit, that is still unfolding with authorities cordoning off the vicinity. The California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene of the multiple-vehicle accident on the eastbound lanes of the 134 Freeway, just past 3 p.m., near Figueroa Street. Immediately after the collision, up to three individuals reportedly fled the area on foot into the neighborhood. Initial, yet unconfirmed reports indicate that one of these individuals, described as a man, entered a nearby residence on the 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive and then proceeded to the backyard where he entered the swimming pool. Around 4 p.m., a woman purportedly exited the house and discharged a firearm. Shortly thereafter, the male suspect, who had undressed to enter the pool, was observed in his undergarments as authorities apprehended him. Prior to 5 p.m., two females emerged from the residence with their hands raised, waiting for law enforcement, who directed them to the street and took them into custody. One of the females was attended to by L.A. Fire Department medical personnel and then transported to the hospital for unconfirmed injuries. At approximately 5:45 p.m., a minor left the house with hands raised and was escorted to a waiting patrol car. It remains uncertain if there are any additional suspects linked to the Freeway 134 crash. In a subsequent X post, formerly Twitter, around 8:30 p.m., LAPD announced the initiation of a police shooting inquiry in the 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive, without divulging further details. Fire officials did acknowledge that one individual from the accident was taken to the hospital via ambulance with unspecified injuries. As of now, no officer injuries have been reported.
