Man surrenders after deadly I-40 crash in Asheville, per police
A man has surrendered to authorities after a tragic collision on the shoulder of Interstate 40 in Asheville, North Carolina left one person dead. Asheville police have filed charges against 62-year-old Walter Francis Smith, including misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, unsafe movement, unsafe tires, violation of vehicle registration provisions, and expired registration plate.
