Man seeks bail after being charged in fatal Londonderry crash

A driver accused of causing a fatal crash in Londonderry this summer is seeking bail, though a judge expressed reluctance. Ryan Dooley, 23, faces charges in connection with the incident, including negligent homicide and aggravated DWI. The crash occurred when Dooley's intoxicated truck collided with a car leaving a driveway, carrying two sisters. One of the sisters succumbed to her injuries at Massachusetts General Hospital. During a recent hearing, Dooley's defense cited his family as they requested supervised release, including electronic monitoring. The defense also mentioned his willingness to surrender his license. However, prosecutors argued that releasing Dooley would pose a risk to the public, as he might return to the location where he obtained alcohol before the crash, and be in proximity to the grieving family. The judge ordered an assessment before deciding on the bail request.
