Man receives sentence for reckless homicide in 2024 Pewaukee collision
A man who caused a fatal crash in Pewaukee resulting in the deaths of two individuals was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Thursday. Prosecutors held Jade Moen responsible for the incident that occurred in a road construction area on Capitol Drive just east of Pewaukee Road on June 26, 2024. Moen pleaded no contest to several charges and acknowledged his role in the tragedy. Despite claiming to have had a seizure while driving due to epilepsy, the judge emphasized Moen's history of poor decisions on the road. Family members of the victims expressed their grief during the emotional sentencing hearing, with many attendees filling the courtroom. In addition to his prison term, Moen received a strict punishment of 13 years of extended supervision and a lifetime ban on driving. He is also set to return to court for a restitution hearing next month.
