Man punished for deadly East Liverpool pedestrian crash

In Lisbon, Ohio, an individual named Paul Vojnovich from East Liverpool was given a sentence on Monday for a case of vehicular manslaughter. Vojnovich, aged 69, received a 180-day jail term, a four-year suspension of his driver's license, and a $500 fine related to a pedestrian accident that occurred in 2023. This incident resulted in the unfortunate death of a 79-year-old pedestrian who was struck while crossing St. Clair Avenue on April 7. Vojnovich entered a no contest plea to the vehicular manslaughter charge after indicating earlier in the month that he did not see the individual at the time of the accident, as reported by the police.
