Man killed in head-on crash with box truck in Caroline County, police say
A Caroline County man was killed Friday afternoon in a head-on crash with an oncoming box truck.Joseph Dsouza, 30, of Ridgely, died at the scene of the crash on Maryland Route 480 near Eveland Road in Caroline County, according to Maryland State Police.State police said a preliminary investigation indicates Dsouza was driving south on Route 480 when he swerved to avoid an oncoming box truck that crossed the center line. Police said troopers found both vehicles had collided off the shoulder of the roadway.A passenger in Dsouza's car and the driver of the box truck were taken to hospitals.An investigation continues.
