Man killed in Fremont crash
FREMONT, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened on State Route 53 in Fremont. According to a press release, OSHP responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Troopers say a driver headed southwest on State Route 53 went off the west side of the road. The vehicle went down an embankment, hit a ditch, a culvert and a utility pole, flipping the vehicle. OSHP says the driver died at the scene. He was identified as Mark Franks, 66, of Fremont. The crash remains under investigation.
