Man injured in Mississippi waterskiing incident

A man sustained injuries during a waterskiing accident on the Pearl River near Flag Island recently. Witnesses indicated that while attempting to jump a boat wake, the skier lost control and fell into the water. The skier mentioned experiencing numbness in his legs. Emergency responders from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) and the Reservoir Police Department Marine Division arrived on the scene to provide assistance. The skier was taken by boat to Ratliff Ferry before being airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Details on his condition following the incident remain undisclosed.
