Man in Albuquerque receives punishment for deadly drunk driving collision

A man from Albuquerque was sentenced on Wednesday for a fatal drunk driving collision. Jesus Sandoval-Martinez was found guilty of speeding, running a red light, and causing a crash that resulted in one fatality. After attempting to flee the scene by foot, Martinez was caught by witnesses and held until police arrived. The victim in the first car was taken to the hospital and sadly passed away, while the second car's driver sustained minor injuries. Martinez's blood alcohol content was .16 four hours after the accident, well above the legal limit. He faced multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle while intoxicated, and was given a 15-year sentence.
