Man gets 2-year prison term for deadly Portsmouth DUI accident.

A man has been sentenced to two years in prison for causing a fatal DUI crash that took place in 2024 in Portsmouth, Virginia. Antwan Thomas was driving with a passenger, Pamela Willie, when he lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the crash. Pamela Willie died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident. An investigation found that Thomas was speeding at 72 mph in a 35 mph zone and had a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.208, well above the legal limit. Thomas confessed to drinking before driving. He received a five-year prison sentence, with three years suspended, serving a total of two years. After his release, he will be on two years of supervised probation.
