Man from York County dies five days after car accident
A 23-year-old man named Matthew Karl from Washington Township, Pennsylvania, has sadly passed away at the hospital five days after being involved in a crash in Dover Township. The incident occurred on Monday, July 28, on Davidsburg Road where Karl, who was driving east at high speed, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a concrete truck. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Despite being rushed to Wellspan York Hospital, Karl tragically succumbed to his injuries on Aug. 2. The York County coroner has ruled his death as accidental, resulting from a traumatic brain injury.
